What we keep on your phone
Player names, your profile name and avatar, game settings, custom card packs, game stats and whether you unlocked the 18+ section are saved in your phone’s browser storage. Apart from the profile backup below, they are not sent to us. Clear your browser data to delete them.
Online rooms
When you play online, the name you type, your moves and your score are sent to our game server so the other players in your room can see them. Rooms are kept in the game server’s database only while you play, and are deleted after a few hours without play. We don’t keep a history of games.
Daily Challenge, leagues and audiences
When you play the Daily Challenge, we store your player name, your best score for each day and a random player ID made on your phone, so the leaderboards work. Daily scores are deleted after about four months. If you join a league, we store the league name, your player name and that ID until you leave the league. Audience votes in online rooms are deleted when the room closes.
Visit statistics
When you open the app, our server records a visit so we can see how the app is used: your IP address and the approximate location worked out from it (country, province or region, city and internet provider), your device type, system and browser, screen size, language and time zone, where you came from, how long you stayed and which games you opened, along with a random player ID. To work out the location, the IP address is sent to an IP-lookup service. Only the organiser can see this on the admin page; it is never sold, and it is deleted after 30 days.
Backups
Your name, avatar, level, badges and streak are backed up on our server under a random player ID, so you can restore them with your backup code.
Feedback
If you send feedback, we receive your message, the page you were on and any contact details you choose to add. We use it only to improve the app and to reply to you.
Ads
Some versions of the app show ads on the home and results screens. Our own sponsor ads don’t track you. If Google AdSense is switched on, Google may use cookies or similar technology to show and measure ads. You can learn more and manage this at Google’s ad policies. Supporters see no ads.
Your rights (POPIA)
Under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to the Information Regulator. Contact us at [contact email].
18+ After Dark
The After Dark games are for adults only and stay hidden until a player confirms they are 18 or older. Drinking games are optional: every one can be played with soft drinks or water. Never drink and drive, know your limits, and look after each other.

- Don’t use offensive names or use the app to bully anyone. We may remove players or rooms.
- Last Card and Lekker Letters are original games inspired by classic card and word games. They are not affiliated with or endorsed by the owners of UNO or Scrabble.
- Supporter purchases are for ad-free use on the device where the code is entered.
